This is Affidea’s third acquisition in the last three months proving the company’s ambition to strengthen its leading position in Europe with the network growing now to 260 centers and over 9200 professionals which are serving more than 7 million patients every year.
Located in Rome, NSL provides patients with advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient consultations, physiotherapy and laboratory analysis, offering affordable healthcare at good quality standards to more than 15.000 patients every month. With this latest acquisition, Affidea expands its footprint in Italy to 21 centers at national level, performing almost 600,000 scans, over 430.000 outpatient examinations and 2,7 million laboratories tests every year, offering a medical service of excellence with a team of more than 1200 dedicated health professionals.
Giuseppe Recchi, Affidea CEO, said on the Affidea’s latest investment in Italy: “The acquisition of NSL underscores Affidea’s continued focus on identifying attractive healthcare businesses across Europe. Italy is a key market in our growth journey and I believe that it is poised for sustained success and consolidation. Only this year we have successfully finalized acquisitions of 19 new centers reaching now a total number of 260 centers across Europe. We have a long track record in integrating new businesses, with almost 140 centers added only in the last 5 years. Leveraging on our core competencies, our vision is to become the premier digital healthcare provider with the most extensive network of medical centres powered by AI. We will continue to further invest in the healthcare industry, expand our footprint in Europe and create value for patients, doctors, national health systems and our employees.”
The NSL acquisition comes as a further sign of Affidea’s commitment to strengthen its leadership position across Europe and expand its outpatient services, after the recently announced acquisition in Lithuania of MPG centers in June, the acquisition of Medicenter clinics in Italy, in May, and the opening of the third ExpressCare clinic for minor injuries and minor illnesses, in north Dublin, Ireland.
